QUICK LESSONS:
Appreciate all forms of service and sacrifice; strive for excellence; put your best effort into your work; reap its rewards both here on earth and in the hereafter .

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us about the merit of returning from an expedition. An expedition is a journey or voyage made for a particular purpose, such as exploration or military conquest. The Prophet ﷺ said that returning from such a journey is just as meritorious as fighting in it. This means that even if one does not participate in the actual battle, they can still gain reward and merit by simply coming back home safely after their mission has been completed. This teaches us to appreciate all forms of service and sacrifice, no matter how small they may seem to be. It also encourages us to strive for excellence in whatever we do and to always put our best effort into our work so that we can reap its rewards both here on earth and in the hereafter.
