Welcoming the Prophet (ﷺ) Back from Battle of Tabuk

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was welcomed back from the battle of Tabuk by people and children.

As-Sa'ib bin Yazid (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the Prophet returned from the battle of Tabuk, people went out from Al-Madinah to meet him and I also met him with other children at Thaniyah-tul-Wada'. Abu Dawud.
وعن السائب بن يزيد، رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ لما قدم النبي من غزوة تبوك تلقاه الناس، فلقيته مع الصبيان على ثنية الوداع‏.‏ ‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود بإسناد صحيح بهذا اللفظ‏)‏‏‏ ورواه البخاري قال‏:‏ ذهبنا نتلقى رسول الله مع الصبيان إلى ثنية الوداع‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ returned from the battle of Tabuk. People and children went out to meet him at a place called Thaniyah-tul-Wada'. This shows us how much respect and love people had for the prophet ﷺ. It also teaches us that we should always show respect to our elders and those in authority over us. We should also be welcoming to those who come back home after being away for a long time.
