The Commandment to Fight for Faith

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that Muslims are commanded to fight against those who do not believe in Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad (ﷺ). They must also establish prayer, pay Zakat and follow the laws of Islam.

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "I have been commanded to fight against the people till they testify La ilaha illAllah (There is no true god except Allah) and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, and to establish As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and to pay Zakat; and if they do this, then their blood and property are secured except by the rights of Islam, and their accountability is left to Allah". Al- Bukhari and Muslim.

Fight for faith according to Islamic Law

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the commandment given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to fight for faith. It states that Muslims should fight against those who do not believe in Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad ﷺ. They must also establish prayer, pay Zakat and follow the laws of Islam. If they do this then their blood and property will be safe from harm except by the rights of Islam. Ultimately, their accountability is left to Allah alone. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to protect our faith even if it means fighting for it as long as we abide by Islamic law while doing so. We should also remember that our ultimate accountability lies with Allah alone no matter what happens in this world.
