Resting for the Recording Angel

SUMMARY: A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, sent a message to one of her family after the evening prayer reminding them to not keep the recording angel from resting.

Malik related to me that he heard that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent a message to one of her family after the evening prayer, saying, "Will you not allow the recording angel to rest?"

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how we should be mindful of our actions and words even when no one is watching. A'isha, who was married to Prophet Muhammad, sent a message to her family after evening prayer reminding them that they should not keep the recording angel from resting. The recording angel is an angel that records all our deeds and words in order for us to be judged by Allah on Judgment Day. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds and say kind words even when no one else can see or hear us because Allah will know what we have done and said. We must remember that everything we do or say will be recorded by this special angel so it's important for us to always act with kindness and respect towards others.
