This hadith is about how we should be mindful of our actions and words even when no one is watching. A'isha, who was married to Prophet Muhammad, sent a message to her family after evening prayer reminding them that they should not keep the recording angel from resting. The recording angel is an angel that records all our deeds and words in order for us to be judged by Allah on Judgment Day.
