Perfuming Before Ihram and Tawaf

SUMMARY: Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, perfumed him before he entered ihram and when he came out of it before doing tawaf of the House.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Qasim from his father that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I perfumed the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, for his ihram before he entered ihram, and when he came out of ihram before he did tawaf of the House".

QUICK LESSONS:
Show respect towards Allah ï·» & others . Take care & maintain dignity while being humble & modest .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a practice done by A'isha for her husband Muhammad ﷺ. She perfumed him before he entered into a state called ihram and when he came out of it before doing tawaf around Kaaba. The act of perfuming oneself is an act that shows respect to Allah ï·» as well as to those around you. It also serves as a reminder to stay away from any kind of bad behavior or words while in this state. Additionally, it is important to remember that even though we are in a state such as ihram which requires us to be humble and modest in our actions and words; we should still take care of ourselves with respect and dignity so that we can be an example for others on how one should behave while in this state.
