It is narrated by Yahya who heard it from Malik who heard it from Nafi' that Abdullah ibn Umar used to do this ritual bath before these events. This hadith teaches us about the importance of cleanliness in Islam as well as following the traditions set by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
