Praying for the People of Al-Baqi

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) went out one night to pray for the people of al-Baqi.

Malik related to me from Alqama ibn Abi Alqama that his mother said that she had heard A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, rose one night and put on his clothes and then went out. I ordered my slave-girl, Barirah, to follow him, and she followed him until he got to al-Baqi. He stood near it as long as Allah willed and then he left. Barirah arrived back before him and told me and I did not say anything to him until morning, and then I mentioned it to him and he explained, 'I was sent out to the people of al-Baqi to pray for them'. "

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about a special moment in which the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) rose one night and put on his clothes before going out to al-Baqi. His wife A'isha ordered her slave girl Barirah to follow him and she did so until he got to al-Baqi where he stood as long as Allah willed before leaving. When he returned home in the morning A'isha asked him what he was doing there and he explained that he was sent out by Allah to pray for the people of al-Baqi. This hadith teaches us that we should always be ready to answer Allah's call no matter what time it is or where we are going. It also shows us how important it is to be obedient and follow orders from our elders even if we don't understand why they are asking us something at first. Lastly, this hadith reminds us that prayer is an essential part of our faith and should not be neglected or taken lightly no matter how busy our lives may get.
