Passing Away Without Involvement

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that Uthman ibn Madhun had gone without being involved in any of the matters.

Yahya related to me from Malik that Abu'n Nadr, the mawla of Umar ibn Ubaydullah, said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, when Uthman ibn Madhun's funeral procession passed by him, "You have gone and you were not involved in any of it".
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ لَمَّا مَاتَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مَظْعُونٍ وَمُرَّ بِجَنَازَتِهِ ‏:‏ ‏ "‏ ذَهَبْتَ وَلَمْ تَلَبَّسْ مِنْهَا بِشَىْءٍ

Be mindful of your actions; strive to live a life full of good deeds; respect those who have passed away; attend funerals and offer prayers for them; respect families during difficult times .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the passing away of Uthman ibn Madhun. The Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said when his funeral procession passed by him that he had gone without being involved in any of it. This teaches us to be mindful of our actions and to stay away from matters which do not concern us or involve us in any way. We should also remember that death is inevitable for all human beings and we should strive to live a life full of good deeds so that we can pass away peacefully with no regrets or worries about our actions on earth. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us to be respectful towards those who have passed away by attending their funerals and offering prayers for them as well as respecting their families during this difficult time.
