QUICK LESSONS:
Perform acts such as qanoot which are seen as acts or worship towards Allah if one believes it will benefit them spiritually .
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the practice of qunut in prayers. Qunut is a special supplication that is said during prayer. It is a form of worship that Muslims do to show their devotion to Allah and ask for His help and guidance. According to this hadith, Abdullah ibn Umar did not say qunut in any of his prayers. This shows us that it is not necessary to perform qunut during prayer as it was not practiced by one of the most prominent figures in Islamic history. However, some scholars believe that it should be done as an act of worship and devotion towards Allah so Muslims can choose whether or not they want to perform this act during their prayers depending on what they believe would be best for them spiritually.
