Quickness in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to pray the two rakahs of the dawn prayer quickly.

Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray the two rakahs of the dawn (fajr) so quickly that I would say to myself 'Has he recited the umm al-Qur'an or not?' "

This shows us how important it is to be quick and efficient when we are praying. We should try our best to focus on our prayers and not waste any time while doing them. It also teaches us that we should be mindful and aware when we are praying so that we can make sure all parts of our prayers are done properly and with full concentration.
