The Importance of Praying Witr

SUMMARY: Allah is One and He loves odd numbers, so it is important to pray Witr.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah is One and loves that which is odd numbered, so pray Witr, O people of the Qur’an".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوَتْرَ فَأَوْتِرُوا يَا أَهْلَ الْقُرْآنِ‏.‏
