Reward for Killing Those with Defective Arms

SUMMARY: Ali (RA) promised the people of an-Nahrawan that Allah had promised a reward to those who killed a man with a defective arm.

It was narrated that 'Abeedah said: 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said to the people of an-Nahrawan: Among them is a man with a defective arm - or an incomplete arm, or a deformed arm. If you could exercise restraint I would have told you what Allah promised on the lips of His Prophet to those who kill them'.Abeedah said: I said to 'Ali (رضي الله عنه): Did you hear him? He said: Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah; and he swore this oath three times.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the promise of reward from Allah for those who kill someone with a defective arm. It was narrated by 'Abeedah and 'Ali ibn Abi Talib that Ali said to the people of an-Nahrawan that if they could exercise restraint he would tell them what Allah promised on the lips of His Prophet regarding those who kill them. Abeedah then asked if Ali heard this himself and he swore three times by the Lord of Ka'bah that he did. This hadith teaches us to be patient in difficult situations and to trust in Allah's promises as He will always provide rewards for good deeds done in His name.
