Cleanliness After Emitting Madhi

SUMMARY: The hadith is about a man who gets close to a woman and emits madhi, and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) instructs him to wash his private part and testicles, and do wudoo'.

It was narrated from Hisham: My father told me that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said to al-Miqdad: Ask the Messenger of Allah about a man who gets close to a woman and emits madhi, for I am too shy to ask him because his daughter is married to me. The Messenger of Allah said: "Let him wash his private part and testicles, and do wudoo'.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لِلْمِقْدَادِ سَلْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يَدْنُو مِنْ الْمَرْأَةِ فَيُمْذِي فَإِنِّي أَسْتَحْيِي مِنْهُ لِأَنَّ ابْنَتَهُ عِنْدِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَغْسِلُ ذَكَرَهُ وَأُنْثَيَيْهِ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ‏.‏

This hadith is about cleanliness after emitting madhi. It was narrated from Hisham that his father told him that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib said to al-Miqdad that he should ask the Messenger of Allah about a man who gets close to a woman and emits madhi. Al-Miqdad was too shy to ask because the Prophet's daughter was married to him. The Prophet Muhammad instructed the man to wash his private part and testicles, as well as perform wudoo'. This hadith teaches us the importance of cleanliness in Islam, especially after engaging in activities which may cause impurity such as emitting madhi.
