Fasting Until Before Dawn

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to fast until before dawn.

It was narrated that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah used to continue his fast until before dawn
حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يُوَاصِلُ إِلَى السَّحَرِ‏.‏
