Musnad Ahmad 626 (Book 5, Hadith 63) #34289
Allah's Promise to Those Who Kill the Khawarij

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Khawarij and how Allah promised to those who kill them.

It was narrated from 'Abeedah that 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) mentioned the Khawarij and said: Among them is a man with a defective arm, or an incomplete arm, or a small arm. If you could exercise restraint, I would have told you what Allah promised on the lips of Muhammad to those who kill them. I said: Did you hear that from Muhammad ? He said: Yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah; yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah; yes, by the Lord of the Ka'bah.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by 'Abeedah and it talks about the Khawarij, a group of people who were considered enemies of Islam. It was said that if one could exercise restraint, then they would be told what Allah promised on the lips of Prophet Muhammad for those who kill them. The narrator asked if he heard this from Prophet Muhammad himself and he replied yes three times with an oath on the Lord of Ka'bah. This hadith teaches us that we should exercise restraint in our actions and not act out in anger or haste as it can lead to dire consequences. We should also remember that whatever we do will have consequences so we must think before acting out in any situation. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us of how important it is to follow what Prophet Muhammad said as his words are divinely inspired by God Himself.
