Sahih al-Bukhari 3579 (Book 61, Hadith 88) #3420
Appreciating Allah's Blessings

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the blessings of Allah and how they should be appreciated.

Narrated 'Abdullah: We used to consider miracles as Allah's Blessings, but you people consider them to be a warning. Once we were with Allah's Messenger on a journey, and we ran short of water. He said, "Bring the water remaining with you". The people brought a utensil containing a little water. He placed his hand in it and said, "Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah". I saw the water flowing from among the fingers of Allah's Messenger , and no doubt, we heard the meal glorifying Allah, when it was being eaten (by him).

QUICK LESSONS:
Appreciate all of God's blessings no matter how small or big they are because everything comes from Him alone . Remember that miracles are not warnings but rather gifts from God .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the blessings of Allah and how they should be appreciated. It was narrated by 'Abdullah, who was on a journey with the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. They ran out of water, so the Prophet ﷺ asked them to bring whatever water they had left. He then placed his hand in it and said "Come to the blessed water, and the Blessing is from Allah". The people then saw water flowing from between his fingers, which was a miracle from Allah. Furthermore, when he ate his meal, it glorified Allah as well. This shows us that we should always appreciate all of God's blessings no matter how small or big they are because everything comes from Him alone. We must also remember that miracles are not warnings but rather gifts from God that we should be thankful for receiving them.
