Seek permissions before making any changes or additions in a place of worship

This hadith speaks about how Umar and Uthman wanted to extend the mosque but were hesitant because they heard Prophet Muhammad say that they should not add anything to it without permission. This teaches us that we should always seek permission before making any changes or additions in a place of worship. It also shows us how important it is to follow what our Prophet said and taught us. We must always remember that he was sent by Allah as a messenger and his teachings are meant for our benefit. We must respect them and follow them in order to be successful in this life and hereafter.
