Musnad Ahmad 231 (Book 2, Hadith 147) #33922
Breaking Fast at Sunset

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that when the sun sets, it is time to break one's fast.

It was narrated that 'Umar bin al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah  said:"When night comes and day departs, and the sun sets, then (it is time to) break your fast'.
