Going to Sleep While Junub

SUMMARY: It is permissible to go to sleep while in a state of ritual impurity, as long as one performs wudu beforehand.

QUICK LESSONS:
Perform wudhu before going asleep while in a state of ritual impurity.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains that it is permissible for a person who is in a state of ritual impurity, known as junub, to go to sleep. However, before doing so they must perform wudu. Wudu is an Islamic ritual involving washing certain parts of the body with water and reciting certain prayers. This hadith teaches us that we should take care of our religious obligations even when we are tired or sleepy. It also reminds us that Allah has given us the ability and opportunity to purify ourselves through wudu so that we can be closer to Him and His blessings.
