Musnad Ahmad 200 (Book 2, Hadith 117) #33892
Differing from Mushrikeen at Muzdalifah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) differed from the mushrikeen by leaving Muzdalifah before sunrise.

It was narrated that 'Umar bin al-Khattab said: The mushrikeen used not to move on from Jam' (Muzdalifah) until the sun rose over (the mountain of) Thabeer, The Prophet differed from them and moved on before the sun rose.

QUICK LESSONS:
Stand up for what you believe in, follow your conscience and trust Allah's guidance .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's journey to Makkah for Hajj. During this journey, he and his companions stopped at a place called Jam' or Muzdalifah. At this place, the mushrikeen used to wait until sunrise before they moved on. However, the Prophet Muhammad decided to move on before sunrise, thus differing from them in this regard. This hadith teaches us that we should not be afraid of being different and standing up for what we believe in even if it means going against popular opinion or tradition. It also teaches us that we should always strive to do what is right and follow our conscience even if it means going against societal norms or expectations. We should also remember that Allah knows best and He will guide us if we put our trust in Him.
