Perform proper ablution before religious obligations such as attending congregational prayers on Fridays .

This hadith highlights the importance of performing ghusl, or ritual bath, before attending the weekly congregational prayer on Fridays. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar that one of the Companions of Prophet Muhammad entered a mosque on a Friday while Umar bin al Khattab was addressing people. Umar asked him what time it was and he replied that he had just come from the marketplace and heard the call for prayer so he only performed wudoo’, which is a minor ablution. Umar then reminded him that Prophet Muhammad used to enjoin ghusl for those who attend congregational prayers on Fridays. This hadith teaches us to take extra care in preparing ourselves for our religious obligations such as attending congregational prayers by taking a full ritual bath instead of just performing wudoo’.
