Permissibility of Going to Sleep While Junub

SUMMARY: It is permissible to go to sleep while in a state of ritual impurity (junub) if one performs wudoo beforehand.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, that 'Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allah was asked: Can a man go to sleep when he is junub? He said: 'Yes, if he does wudoo’'.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَيَرْقُدُ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا أَجْنَبَ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ‏.‏
