Respect and revere the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ; Strive to defend your faith; Never forget or neglect his teachings; Protect your faith in any way possible

This hadith speaks about the respect and reverence that should be given to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It tells us that even though it may be difficult, we should always strive to defend our beloved prophet in any way possible. In this case, Hassan bin Thabit chose to do so through poetry. He asked for permission from the Prophet ﷺ and when he was hesitant due to their common descent, Hassan reassured him by saying he would take him out of them as a hair is taken out of dough. This shows us how important it is for us Muslims to protect our faith and defend our beloved prophet in any way possible. We must also remember that we should never forget or neglect his teachings no matter how hard it may seem at times.
