Beware of Insignificant Deeds

SUMMARY: We should be careful of our actions, even if they seem insignificant, as Allah will hold us accountable for them.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'O 'Aishah, beware of (evil) deeds that are regarded as insignificant, for they have a pursuer from Allah. (ie accountability)".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ بَانَكَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَامِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، يَقُولُ ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي عَوْفُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏:‏ ‏ "‏ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِيَّاكِ وَمُحَقَّرَاتِ الأَعْمَالِ فَإِنَّ لَهَا مِنَ اللَّهِ طَالِبًا

This hadith is a reminder from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to his wife Aisha that we should always be mindful of our actions and take responsibility for them. Even if an action may seem insignificant or small, it is still important to remember that Allah will hold us accountable for it. We must strive to do good deeds and avoid bad ones in order to please Allah and gain His mercy. This hadith teaches us the importance of being mindful of our actions and taking responsibility for them no matter how small they may seem. It also reminds us that we must strive to do good deeds in order to gain Allah's mercy and blessings.
