Finding Quality People

SUMMARY: People are rarely of good quality and it is difficult to find one worth relying on.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: "People are like a hundred camels; you can hardly find one worth riding among them".
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ النَّاسُ كَإِبِلِ مِائَةٍ لاَ تَكَادُ تَجِدُ فِيهَا رَاحِلَةً

We should also remember that we must always strive to be the best version of ourselves so that others can rely on us and trust in our character.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was teaching us an important lesson about the importance of being mindful when selecting those around us, as well as striving for excellence in our own lives so that others can benefit from our presence. He was reminding us not only to look out for ourselves but also for those around us by making sure they are trustworthy and reliable individuals.
