Glad Tidings for the Strangers

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to those who are strangers.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Islam began as something strange and will go back to being strange, so glad tidings to the strangers.’"
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَيَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ بَدَأَ الإِسْلاَمُ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ غَرِيبًا فَطُوبَى لِلْغُرَبَاءِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of being a stranger in the eyes of Allah. It tells us that even though it may seem difficult or uncomfortable at times, it is important to stay true to our faith and beliefs. The Prophet Muhammad was telling us that if we remain steadfast in our faith, then we will be rewarded with glad tidings from Allah. He also reminds us that even though it may seem like an uphill battle at times, we should never give up on our faith because eventually things will get better and easier for us.
