QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic teachings regarding wearing jewelry made from other materials such as silver or copper

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of wearing gold rings. It was narrated by Ibn 'Umar, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad, that the Messenger of Allah forbade gold rings. This means that it is not permissible for Muslims to wear gold rings as an accessory or decoration. Wearing jewelry made from other materials such as silver and copper are allowed, however, it is important to remember that one should not be too extravagant in their use of jewelry and accessories as this can lead to vanity and pride which are qualities discouraged in Islam. Furthermore, one should also be mindful of how much money they spend on these items so as not to waste their wealth unnecessarily. The values taught by this hadith include moderation in spending money on luxury items and avoiding vanity and prideful behavior.
