Eating Crows Forbidden

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned against eating crows, as they are not considered to be good or permissible.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "Who eats crows? The Messenger of Allah called them vermin, By Allah, they are not from among the good and permissible things".
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَنْ يَأْكُلُ الْغُرَابَ وَقَدْ سَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ فَاسِقًا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ
