EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Salim from his father states that the Prophet Muhammad commanded that all dogs be killed. However, there were exceptions to this rule; hunting and herding dogs were allowed to remain alive. This hadith teaches us the importance of following the commands of Allah's messenger even if it is difficult or goes against our own desires. It also shows us how merciful Allah is in allowing exceptions to certain rules when necessary. We can learn from this hadith that we should always strive to obey Allah's commands even if it means making sacrifices or going against our own wishes.
