Timing of Stoning 'Aqabah Pillar

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) stoned the 'Aqabah Pillar at forenoon, but after that day, he would do it after the sun had passed its zenith.

It was narrated that Jabir said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah stoning 'Aqabah Pillar at forenoon, but after that day, he would do it after the sun had passed its zenith".
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ ضُحًى وَأَمَّا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فَبَعْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the timing of when to stone the 'Aqabah Pillar. It was narrated by Jabir that he saw Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stoning this pillar at forenoon, but afterwards he would do it after the sun had passed its zenith. This teaches us to be mindful of timing and to be aware of our environment and surroundings when performing certain acts or rituals. We should also take into consideration how our actions may affect others around us and strive to make sure we are not causing any harm or inconvenience for them. Additionally, this hadith also serves as a reminder for us to always follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in all aspects of life as his example is one we should strive to emulate in order to gain Allah's pleasure and mercy.
