QUICK LESSONS:
Seek justice when something wrong has been done against you; Be generous in your dealings with others; Accept whatever recompense is given to you in good faith

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains how the Prophet set a certain amount of money as a form of compensation for any wrongdoings or damages done to another person. This amount is known as ‘blood money’ or ‘diya’ in Arabic. The Prophet said that this was what Allah had commanded, and it was also a way for people to be enriched with Allah's bounty. By taking this blood money, people are able to receive compensation for any wrongdoings done against them, while also being rewarded by Allah's generosity. This teaches us that we should always seek justice when something wrong has been done against us, but we should also be generous in our dealings with others and accept whatever recompense is given to us in good faith.
