It was narrated that 'Ali bin Rabah said: "I heard 'Utbah bin Nuddar say: 'We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he recited Ta-Sin. When he reached the story of Musa, he said: 'Musa (A.S) hired himself out for eight years, or ten, in return for his chastity and food in his stomach'. "
The Prophet Muhammad was emphasizing the importance of having a strong moral character as well as working hard in order to achieve success. He was also teaching us that it is important to take care of ourselves by making sure we have enough food and are able to maintain our chastity even when faced with difficult circumstances or situations. By doing this, we can ensure that we are living up to our full potential as Muslims who strive for excellence both spiritually and physically.
