The Shade of Mercy

SUMMARY: Allah will provide shade to those who are merciful and forgiving towards others.

It was narrated from Abu Yasar, the Companion of the Prophet that : the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever would like Allah to shade him with His shade, let him give respite to one in difficulty, or waive repayment of the loan".
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْيَسَرِ، صَاحِبِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُظِلَّهُ اللَّهُ فِي ظِلِّهِ - فَلْيُنْظِرْ مُعْسِرًا أَوْ لِيَضَعْ لَهُ

Give respite to one in difficulty or waive repayment of a loan. Be understanding & not rush people for payment when they are having a hard time or cannot pay back a loan on time . Be kind & generous with your words & actions .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about being merciful and forgiving towards others. It teaches us that if we want Allah to be merciful and forgiving towards us then we should also show mercy and forgiveness to those around us. The Prophet Muhammad said that if someone wants Allah's shade then they should give respite to someone in difficulty or waive repayment of a loan. This means that when someone is having a hard time or cannot pay back a loan on time then we should be understanding and not rush them for payment. By doing this kind act of mercy, Allah will reward us with His own shade which is an immense blessing from Him. We can learn from this hadith that it is important for us to be kind and generous with our words as well as our actions so that we can receive the blessings of Allah in return.
