The Gift of Giving

SUMMARY: It is not permissible for a person to give a gift and then take it back, except in the case of a father giving something to his child.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas and Ibn 'Umar, who attributed the Hadith to the Prophet that he said: "It is not permissible for a man to give a gift then take it back, except what a father gives to his child".
