QUICK LESSONS:
Do not make promises or oaths in order to take advantage of people who are stingy with their wealth . Be honest and responsible when making promises .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of making vows. It was narrated by Abdullah bin Umar that the Messenger of Allah forbade making vows and said that it is a way to take wealth from those who are stingy. Making a vow means to make an oath or promise to do something in exchange for something else. For example, if someone makes a vow to give charity if their wish comes true then they must fulfill their promise even if their wish does not come true. This hadith teaches us that we should not make promises or oaths in order to take advantage of people who are stingy with their wealth as this is wrong and against Islamic teachings. We should also be careful when making promises as we must fulfill them even if our wishes do not come true.
