The Journey of Prophet Moses

SUMMARY: This hadith is about Prophet Moses and his journey, where he was reminded of a forgotten task by his attendant.

Narrated Ubai bin Ka'b: That he heard Allah's Messenger saying, "(The prophet) Moses said to his attendant, "Bring us our early meal' (18.62). The latter said, 'Did you remember when we betook ourselves to the rock? I indeed forgot the fish and none but Satan made me forget to remember it". (18.63) Moses did not feel tired till he had crossed the place which Allah ordered him to go to".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the journey of the prophet Moses. During his journey, he asked his attendant to bring him an early meal. His attendant then reminded him that they had left something behind at a rock which was a fish. He realized that it was Satan who made him forget this task and only then did he feel tired from the journey. This teaches us to be mindful of our tasks and not let Satan distract us from our goals in life. We should also remember to take care of our responsibilities even if we are on a long journey or have many things on our plate as Allah will always help us fulfill them if we strive for it.
