Afflictions from the East

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warning of afflictions that will come from the east.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar: I saw Allah's Messenger pointing towards the east saying, "Lo! Afflictions will verily emerge hence; afflictions will verily emerge hence where the (side of the head of) Satan appears".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يُشِيرُ إِلَى الْمَشْرِقِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ هَا إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَا هُنَا إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ هَا هُنَا مِنْ حَيْثُ يَطْلُعُ قَرْنُ الشَّيْطَانِ

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned his companions of afflictions that would come from the east. He pointed towards the east and said “Lo! Afflictions will verily emerge hence; afflictions will verily emerge hence where the side of head of Satan appears”. This hadith serves as a reminder to us all to stay vigilant and aware of our surroundings so we can protect ourselves and our families from any harm or danger that may arise. It also teaches us to always remain mindful of Allah's warnings and not take them lightly. We should strive to stay away from anything that could lead us astray or cause us harm in any way. The Prophet's words are a reminder for us all to remain steadfast in our faith and trust in Allah no matter what comes our way.
