Dedicate oneself fully to worshipping Allah ; Strive for self-improvement ; Make use of one’s time wisely ; Respect religious traditions and practices .

This hadith speaks about how the Prophet Muhammad used to observe a retreat called Itikaf every year. During this retreat, he would spend time alone in prayer and meditation. He would also review the Quran with someone else during this time. In his last year of life, however, he spent an extra ten days on his retreat and reviewed the Quran twice instead of once. This shows us that even though his life was coming to an end, he still dedicated himself fully to worshipping Allah and learning more about His teachings through His holy book. We can learn from this that we should always strive to be better Muslims no matter what our circumstances are or how much time we have left on earth.
