EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of cupping while fasting and in a state of ihraam. Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine where a cup is placed on the skin to create suction. It has been used for centuries to treat various ailments such as headaches, muscle pain, and even fever. In this hadith, it was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said that the Prophet Muhammad practiced cupping while fasting and in ihraam. This shows us that even though we are obligated to fast during Ramadan or when we are performing Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage, we can still practice certain medical treatments such as cupping if needed. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us that it is permissible to seek medical treatment during times of worship or religious obligations as long as it does not interfere with our worship or religious obligations themselves.
