Offering funerals prayers for a deceased child

This hadith teaches us the importance of offering funeral prayers for a deceased child. It is narrated by Abu Jubair bin Hayyah who heard it from Mughirah bin Shubah, who in turn heard it from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ taught that even though children are not held accountable for their actions in this life, they should still be given respect and dignity after death by offering funeral prayers on their behalf. This hadith also teaches us to show compassion and mercy towards those who have passed away, regardless of age or status.
