EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how to perform funeral prayers. It was narrated by 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila that Zaid bin Arqan used to say the Takbir four or five times during a funeral prayer. He said this because he saw that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did it himself. The takbir is an Arabic phrase meaning “God is great” and it is usually said during funerals as a way of expressing respect for the deceased person and their family. It also serves as an expression of faith in God's power over life and death, reminding us all of our mortality and our need for God's mercy. By saying this phrase multiple times, we are reminded of these important values even more strongly.
