QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for religious practices regardless of physical conditions or circumstances; Persevere and dedicate oneself towards spiritual pursuits; Encourage self-improvement through spiritual retreats and worshiping Allah SWT .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith narrated by 'Aisha, one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, speaks about a practice known as I’tikāf. It is an Islamic practice where a person secludes themselves in a mosque for spiritual retreat and worship. In this particular case, it was done by one of the mothers of faithful believers while she was having bleeding in between her periods. This shows that even during menstruation, women are allowed to perform religious practices such as I’tikāf if they wish to do so. It also serves as an example for Muslim women who may feel restricted from performing certain religious activities due to their menstrual cycle.
