Gratitude to Allah in Spite of Forgiveness

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was thankful to Allah for His blessings and mercy, even though He had already been forgiven of all his sins.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah used to pray until his feet became swollen. It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, Allah has forgiven you your past and future sins.’ He said: 'Should I not be a thankful slave?’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Be thankful to Allah for His blessings and mercy even if you have been forgiven your sins .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of being grateful to Allah, even when one has been forgiven for their sins. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was an example of this, as he continued to pray and be thankful despite knowing that he had already been forgiven by Allah. This teaches us that we should always be grateful for the blessings we receive from Allah, no matter what our situation may be. We should never take these blessings for granted or forget how much mercy and forgiveness He has bestowed upon us.
