Visiting Mosques - Three Exceptions

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised not to travel to any mosque except three: the Sacred Mosque, Aqsa Mosque, and his own mosque.

It was narrated from Abu Sa’eed and 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'As that the Messenger of Allah said: "Do not prepare a mount (travel) to visit any mosque except three: the Sacred Mosque, Aqsa Mosque, and this mosque of mine".
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ تُشَدُّ الرِّحَالُ إِلاَّ إِلَى ثَلاَثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى وَإِلَى مَسْجِدِي هَذَا

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us that there are only three mosques that we should travel to visit. These mosques are the Sacred Mosque in Makkah, the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and his own mosque in Medina. This hadith teaches us that we should prioritize visiting these three mosques over all other mosques as they have a special significance for Muslims. It also encourages us to be mindful of our resources when travelling for religious purposes and not waste them on unnecessary trips. Furthermore, it reminds us of the importance of respecting places of worship by visiting them with reverence and humility.
