QUICK LESSONS:
Take precautions during times of ritual purity . Observe religious practices like men do . Respect cleanliness during prayer times .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a wife of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, who was observing the practice of I'tikaf. During this time she noticed some blood and yellowish discharge from her private parts. She then put a dish under her when she prayed so that it would not get on the prayer mat or floor. This hadith teaches us that women should take precautions when they are in a state of ritual purity during their prayers, such as putting something underneath them to prevent any impurities from getting on the prayer mat or floor. It also shows us that women can observe practices such as I'tikaf just like men can, which is an important lesson for both genders to learn.
