Praying Two Rakah of Fajr

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ would pray two Rakah of Fajr and then lie down on his right side.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "When the Prophet prayed the two (Sunnah) Rak’ah of Fajr, he would lie down on his right side".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ ـ إِذَا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الأَيْمَنِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us that the Prophet Muhammad used to pray two Rakah of Fajr before sunrise. After he finished praying, he would lie down on his right side. This is an example of a Sunnah prayer which Muslims are encouraged to follow in order to gain rewards from Allah. It also teaches us the importance of following the teachings and practices of the Prophet Muhammad as it is a way for us to get closer to Allah and His mercy.

The hadith also reminds us that we should be mindful when we are performing our prayers as it is an act of worship towards Allah and should be done with sincerity and concentration. We should strive to make our prayers meaningful by focusing on what we are saying and understanding its meaning so that we can benefit from it spiritually.
