The Prophet's Nightly Habits

SUMMARY: The Prophet (peace be upon him) was always near 'Aishah at night.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "I never used to see the Prophet at the end of the night, except that he was sleeping near me".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، وَسُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ مَا كُنْتُ أُلْفِي - أَوْ أَلْقَى - النَّبِيَّ ـ ـ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ إِلاَّ وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ عِنْدِي ‏.‏ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ تَعْنِي بَعْدَ الْوِتْرِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the habits of the beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by 'Aishah that she never saw the Prophet ﷺ at the end of the night except that he was sleeping near her. This shows us how devoted and loving he was to his family and how important it is for us to spend quality time with our families as well. It also teaches us about his exemplary character and how he prioritized spending time with those closest to him over other activities. We can learn from this hadith that we should strive to be like our beloved prophet in all aspects of life, including being devoted to our families and spending quality time with them.
