The Reward of Six Rakah After Maghrib Prayer

SUMMARY: Praying six Rakah after Maghrib prayer will be rewarded as if one has prayed for twelve years.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said: "Whoever prays six Rak’ah after the Maghrib and does not say anything bad in between them, will have a reward equal to the worship of twelve years".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ الْعُكْلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي خَثْعَمٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ صَلَّى بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ سِتَّ رَكَعَاتٍ لَمْ يَتَكَلَّمْ بَيْنَهُنَّ بِسُوءٍ عُدِلْنَ لَهُ بِعِبَادَةِ ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً

This hadith is about the reward of praying six Rakahs after the Maghrib prayer. According to this hadith, whoever prays six Rakahs and does not say anything bad in between them, will have a reward equal to the worship of twelve years. This means that if someone prays these six rakahs with sincerity and devotion, they will be rewarded as if they have prayed for twelve years. This is an amazing reward that Allah has promised us for our devotion and dedication towards Him. It teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds in order to receive Allah's blessings and mercy upon us. We should also remember that even small acts of worship can bring great rewards from Allah if done with sincerity and faithfulness.
