Sunan Ibn Majah 841 (Book 5, Hadith 39) #30193
The Importance of Reciting Fatihatil-Kitab in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that every prayer is incomplete without reciting the Opening of the Book.

It was narrated that from 'Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah said: "Every prayer in which Fatihatil-Kitab (the Opening of the Book) is not recited, it is deficient, it is deficient".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the importance of reciting the Opening of the Book in our prayers. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that any prayer without this recitation is deficient and incomplete. This means that it is essential to recite this part of the Quran during our prayers for them to be accepted by Allah SWT. It also shows us how important it is to pay attention to details when we are praying and not take anything for granted as even a small thing like this can make a big difference in our worship. Furthermore, it teaches us about being consistent with our religious practices and not neglecting any part or aspect of them as they all have their own significance and importance.
