EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of wearing an Izar during menstruation. An Izar is a type of clothing that covers the body from waist to ankle and is worn by both men and women in some parts of the world. According to this hadith, when Prophet Muhammad's wives were in their menstrual cycle, he asked them to wear an Izar before fondling them. This shows us that even though it was permissible for him to be intimate with his wives during their periods, he still respected their privacy and modesty by asking them to cover up first. It also teaches us that we should respect our partners' boundaries even if we are allowed to do something according to religious laws or cultural norms.
